Ryzen 4700h

AMD won big on all fronts in The first chips are expected to launch during the first quarter of The 15 Watt U series: These are the first of the three versions. They have been designed for light laptops and will most likely feature a rather low base clock speed.

These will have the highest TDP and the clock speed among the three versions. Specs wise, both the 15 Watt and the 45 Watt versions of the new Ryzen APUs will feature a two folds increase in the number of cores and threads.

The number of cores and threads have been bumped to 8 and 16 respectively in the 4 th Gen APUs. With regards to power consumption, the 4 th Gen Ryzen APUs will reportedly be much more economical compared to their respective competition by Intel. This is due to the density of the 7nm chips.

But how exactly would they affect the market? And as head into a brand new year and decade, an octa-core APU could be just the thing for them to make an impact in the mobile computing market as well.

The 8-cores definitely make for a huge incentive. But the better performing onboard GPU could not make that big an impact as most laptops with a processor this good, are usually accompanied by a dedicated GPU. The 4th gen Ryzen APU chips are expected to start shipping in the first quarter of And this could once again help AMD beat Intel in another front.

Currently, in the mobile platform, Intel uses 10nm chips whereas AMD opted to stick with the 12nm chips. But after having introduced the 7nm architecture in with the Ryzen 9 CPU s and the third gen Threadrippers, AMD is finally bringing 7nm to the mobile market.

The company had been putting a fight against Intel with their previous two generations of Ryzen CPUs. Intel has to curb the prices of its CPUs as it was struggling to keep up with the vastly superior Ryzen alternatives. AMD changed this in And as we enterAMD has much bigger plans on hold. And later in the year, the arrival of the fourth gen Ryzen CPUs will definitely be entertaining.

We will keep you updated if we hear more on this. Feel free to drop a comment below. This section is for our less tech-savvy readers.

But some of you might not know what exactly an APU is. To be more clear on this, we will elaborate on each of these three pieces of hardware and then differentiate them. The Asus TUF Gaming A15 is targeted at gamers with entry-level budgets, but that doesn't mean there's anything ordinary about it. This model is the first laptop we're reviewing with a series AMD Ryzen Mobile processor, which definitely helps to set it apart in the market.

We'll be paying attention to this, but there's also a lot more to take into account. Asus has launched this laptop with a lot of variants, and there are plenty of features that should appeal to gamers. As the follow-up to the well priced and popular TUF Gaming FXthe new TUF Gaming A15 claims to be slimmer and lighter, while offering up-to-date hardware, immense customisability, and of course some design elements just for gamers.

As its name suggests, physical toughness is also a focus of this series. However as we've seen quite often, powerful laptops can appeal to audiences beyond gamers, including creative professionals and students. We're going to see what Asus has managed to achieve here, and whether the hardware and features are competitive enough to make this a strong recommendation.

The The range starts at Rs. The availability of different configurations will vary, and such a tricked-out configuration did not seem to be in stock anywhere online at the time of our review. The price would of course be considerably higher. All variants feature a 48Wh battery — in a preview prior to CES late last yearAsus had brought up the idea of offering different battery capacities in different variants probably trading off the space used by the hard drivebut this would have made the lineup more confusing, and so the plan has been dropped.

AMD has seen a number of wins in the desktop CPU space, especially with enthusiasts, but still has to convince laptop OEMs to take more risks developing and selling entire product lines around Ryzen processors.

The Ryzen Mobile series might be slightly confusing in terms of naming, because these CPUs are based on the same Zen 2 architecture as the desktop Ryzen seriesand do not represent a new generation. AMD has used a modular chiplet-based layout with integrated Radeon Vega graphics, and a and 7nm manufacturing process.

All models feature multi-threading for twice the number of threads. These chips are classified as SoCs, with integrated IO, storage and memory controllers, and hardware for sensors, power management and display output.

Users will be able to upgrade storage and RAM, and there's quite a bit of flexibility here even though you don't get a hatch on the bottom for quick access. There's a 48Wh battery, and Asus surprisingly doesn't make any claims of how long it should run for. Our unit came with a relatively slim but still heavy W charger. The only things on the right are a single USB 2.

There's no SD card slot, which is disappointing. Other specifications include Wi-Fi We saw several huge, annoying popups for McAfee LiveSafe. The Asus Armoury Crate tool is thankfully not at all intrusive but the layout could be better. You can also check hardware usage, manage the keyboard's RGB effects, and check for system updates. For an entry-level laptop, it looks fairly slick and modern. The outer lid is metal, while the rest of this laptop's body is plastic.Join the Radeon Vanguard program Beta Testing.

I've posted a couple threads about this laptop, and have been researching plenty on the previous models while I was debating on whether I should get this. I pulled the trigger in May and have now had this laptop for exactly a month. My previous laptop was a Lenovo Yoga 3 14, which had some strange display issue that I can't fix tried literally everything and even opened it upthough I've had problems since I got it - one of the major ones is to do with drivers.

Disclaimer: this isn't a professional review or anything, it's just my experiences after one month of using it. I've taken some pictures of it here for reference. When I got the laptop out of the box I noticed that it's extremely small. In fact, I was in disbelief and was initially disappointed if I'm honest - even though it was a 13" laptop, I didn't think it'd be this much smaller than my previous 14" laptop.

However, I realised that the bezels on this thing were really small, and the screen real estate was actually a sweet spot that takes some getting used to. It's small enough to carry around and it isn't too heavy, as it weighs about 1. When using it for media consumption, you almost forget about the small size because the screen is just the right size, especially with the thin bezels.

The build quality is very solid. The HP logo on the lid is reflective. Difficult to describe, and not a big problem but worth noting. The battery life on this is as expected. It's a Ryzen ultrabook, so I've been getting about 8ish hours from general use like watching video streams, browsing via Chrome, and using Discord.

Probably the most important thing to talk about. This score was just above the Intel iK at ! Obviously had no problems with them at all.

I then moved on to games that require a bit more in terms of specs.

It is currently being tested with extremely fast 'DDR' memory. Let's start with the spicy stuff first. The L1 and L2 cache score 2. The APU can boost to a clock speed of 4. Up next, we have the raw CPUZ shot in all its glory. You can see that the APU is built on the 7nm process and its base clock is 3. It is equipped with Vega graphics and utilizes the AM4 socket with pins. This particular variant is the 1st stepping and is an early revision.

AMD's Ryzen processors have always been highly affected by RAM speeds so it is great to see that the B platform will be able to overclock the IMC all the way up to MHz which is an absolutely insane amount by the wayYou would almost certainly require good cooling over the RAM sticks or at the very least an active airflow in the case in order to not overheat the system in the summer. The upgrades come in the form of a full 7nm architecture design that will include 7nm Zen 2 cores and an enhanced 7nm Vega GPU core.

From the leaked picture, it can be seen that the flagship part is indeed going to be called the AMD Ryzen 7 G. Based on the specs mentioned in the OPN table by Igor's Lab, we can conclude the specifications of this chip which are literally insane for a desktop APU. That's a 2x increase in the number of cores and threads over the Ryzen 5 G. The clock speeds are reported at 3. Image Credits: Igor's Lab.

The impressive part about the Ryzen 7 G is the insane clock speeds that would be featured on the enhanced Vega integrated GPUs. In the case of the Ryzen 7 G, we are looking at up to MHz or 2.

We also have to consider the extra price that will come with the extra number of cores and threads. The processors will be fully compatible with budget platforms such as the B and A The links above are affiliate links.

The Core iG7 is made up of 4 cores and 8 threads, a cache size of 8 Gb, a base frequency 1. The good news is that AMD provides all of us with a choice: the Ryzen 7 H is a good option for power users and gamers to have quicker processors with more stable frequences under heavy load. The Ryzen 7 U appears as a decent choice for thin and light machines, with its 15W TDP and its 8 cores alongside strong performance and efficiency. The Ryzen 7 H has 8 cores and 16 threads as the flagship component.

The 45W processor is fitted with a 2.

The 7 nm Process Nodes require Zen 2 cores to carry out a lot more tasks while consuming less power and are therefore definitely higher in battery times per watt than their counterparts. The final results are different as each laptop is equipped with a specific GPU and clearly the Intel-based laptops have more discrete designs, but some of the high-end Renoir designs will certainly be expected soon.
